Maddie Martin is an exciting new voice on the UK jazz scene, quickly carving out her own path with a sound rooted in tradition yet shaped by a fresh contemporary perspective. With a distinctive “old soul” tone and a gift for storytelling, she captivates audiences through expressive phrasing, rich timbre and a compelling stage presence. A graduate of the Royal College of Music, she will blend vibrant arrangements of standards, 1970’s soul and original compositions by trumpeter and composer Gabriel Taylor.

Maddie will lead a Quartet before the interval and her Septet afterwards. When the opportunity arises she loves leading big bands of up to 18 pieces. Her debut album “Part One” will be released early next year. A track from it “Dream Boy” can be streamed now as can “Be My Santa Baby” by her big band.
