𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 update

Scott Hamilton lives in Italy, and was scheduled to come to the UK  for the month of January  to play at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in London as the resident musician. Unfortunately due to Covid, Pizza Express Jazz Club will remain closed until the spring and have cancelled Scott's residency, and so unfortunately he will not be able to appear at the CJC on the 15th January.
He is now planning on coming over next April, and we will keep in touch with his agent to hopefully arrange a CJC gig then.
As mentioned in the last newsletter, the Committee have progressed arrangements to get together a band of accomplished jazz musicians, who are members of the CJC, for a one off gig, which we can video and make available for all our members to view online, via our website, Facebook or Youtube.
We were planning to get together on the 11th November at the Pallant to record the band, but the latest lockdown now means that this will have to be rearranged in December.
Obviously these are difficult times, but we will let you know our plans for 2021 as soon as were are able to do so.
In the meantime stay safe.

High quality Jazz in the heart of Chichester

We continue our policy of presenting the widest range and highest quality of jazz that we can - a mixture of bands new to the club as well as 'old favourites' - in comfortable surroundings in the heart of the historic city of Chichester.

In the 28th 2019/2020 10-month 15 gig season, the Club will meet regularly at the nightclub-styled Pallant Suite, South Pallant, Chichester.

There is a licensed bar and coffee is available at the break. Performances start at 7:45pm and doors open 6:45pm. The interval is usually around 8:45pm and the music ends soon after 10:15pm.

Members, guests and friends always welcome.
