Mario Bakuna is a Brazilian artist, currently based in London. He has established himself as a leading figure in the Brazilian jazz scene in the UK, also touring extensively in Europe and worldwide.

Mario Bakuna brings his latest project Brazilian Landscapes - which reimagines works of celebrated Brazilian composers to Chichester Jazz Club.

Brazilian Landscapes is a tribute to the culture and memory of Brazilian people, inspired by Mario Bakuna’s travels through Brazil. From the arid landscape of the northeast, which is reflected in a chorus of songs, to the African influence found in Ijexá, the popularity of Samba and the sophistication of Bossa Nova, Mario Bakuna and his musicians celebrate the most musically rich territory on Earth.

This promises to be a brilliant, exciting and eclectic evening of Brazilian music.
