A fascinating programme of music and anecdotes, including a Q&A session.
In honour of Valentine’s Day they played ‘Please Buy Me Some Flowers’, which was followed by a sax and spirited guitar duo playing ‘There used to be a Vegetarian Restaurant in Poland’. The quartet completed the first set with ‘Walking Through The Jungle’ in memory of Julian’s daughter’s bedtime stories.
The second set included some really sensitive drumming by Adam on ‘A Fish Out Of Water’ and following the story of the Quartet’s recent trip to Norway to record a new album and the 8 hour train journey to Trondheim, they played ‘ Endless Train’. The intriguing titles continued with Rivers and Rapids’ or ‘Gluten Free Cookies’ with some more fine guitar from Maciek and finishing a blues called ‘Fruity’
Without doubt one of the best concerts in this CJC season, enjoyed with great enthusiasm by the audience.
