The Man Overboard Quintet adds its own stamp to a repertoire of tunes made famous by the likes of Billie Holiday, Django Reinhardt, the Mills Brothers, Duke Ellington and Fats Waller. The chemistry between the musicians and their audience makes every performance a magical occasion.
Featured in BBC3’s ‘Being Human’, the band has also appeared several times on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ and released their first album in July 2013 and a second 'Down in the Deep, Deep Blue' in August 2015.
"Man Overboard Quintet has been an important part of the UK's major swing revival of the last few years. ‘The counter-revolution’, as it was tellingly described by Brian Blain, presents light-hearted music which appeals to the heart and the feet of audiences right across the age spectrum." – London Jazz News, 2017.
