Following his last visit to CJC with the Condonians, this time we welcome the return of Julian Marc Stringle, with his own quintet.
Julian made his TV debut with Acker Bilk when just 14 and formed his own jazz quintet and toured Europe at just 17.
His versatility is demonstrated in his album ‘Blues for the Morning After’ - a successful blend of blues, ballads, bebop and Latin jazz - and he currently leads The Dream Band, his own exciting and melodic Latin-influenced jazz funk sextet.
His next project will be to return to his roots to record a fiery Chicago-style album with British trumpet ace James Davison’s Young Dixielanders.
Julian was voted ‘Best Clarinettist’ in the British Jazz Awards 2006-7.
Line-up: Julian Marc Stringle – clarinet and tenor saxophone, Enrico Tomasso – trumpet, Jonathan Vinton – piano, Steve Thompson – bass, Bobby Worth - drums.
All meetings start at 7.45pm - doors open at 6.30pm
