The band is best known as the house band since February 2002 at Googlies Jazz Supper Club, North London. Every week the quartet opens proceedings, performing a wide range of jazz, often in a modern vein - with standards, jazz classics, and originals but ‘certainly not way out’, Colin insists. The band is then joined by the week’s guest star, who sets the mood and musical style for the rest of the evening. The term ‘guest star’ is certainly appropriate; in July 2010, for example, the band was joined by Jo Fooks, Jim Hart, Dick Pearce, and Pete Churchill.
Tonight's line-up will be Colin Peters – piano, Bill Yeomans – saxes and flute, Wally Shaw – bass and John Jarvis - drums.
Guest admission £10.00
All meetings start at 7.45pm - doors open at 6.30pm
