Having studied saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music from 1995 to 1999, Edinburgh-born Jo Fooks joined Humphrey Lyttelton’s band in 2006.
In 2008 Jo released her second solo album, Playin’, with 11 of her own upbeat and bluesy compositions. Appearing tonight from the CD personnel are: pianist Ted Beament, for many years in the Humphrey Lyttelton Band; Dave Cliff, a subtle guitarist well-known at CJC; and Buster Birch, a drummer whose style reflects his enthusiasm for all music. Bassist Ed Harrison has moved to Manchester and at the time of writing there is no permanent replacement.
All meetings start at 7.45pm - doors open at 6.30pm
